Neroli, Organic: Tunisia (Citrus aurantium – Hydro Distilled)

Neroli is the common name given to the essential oil extracted by steam distillation from the fragrant white blossoms of bitter orange trees. It is named after the Princess of Nerola who introduced the perfume to Italy. These handpicked flower petals are hydro-distilled due to their fragile nature.

Due to the labor involved some Italian trees we introduced and cultivated at a partners organic farm in India. This greatly lowers the overall labor expenses of the oil. Still it takes approximately one thousand pounds of handpicked blossoms to make one pound of Therapeutic Neroli Oil. Due to differences in soil and weather the oil has a little different chemical profile and fragrance but still has the powerful therapeutic results we are looking for. Traditionally Neroli was used by the Egyptians for healing the mind, body, and spirit. Because of its pleasant, uplifting, sweet ,flowery fragrance, Neroli is still an ingredient in many high end perfumes and therapeutic essential oil synergies. Due to the high cost there are many adulterated and synthetic oil being sold as pure on the market.

Primary Usages: Women have a tendency to be drawn to the smell of Neroli because of its pleasant flowery fragrance that is beneficial female reproductive system and for addressing emotional problems (hormone balancing, anxiety, depression, nervous tension, shock, fear, and any stress related condition). We have personally had many clients report that putting a drop of Neroli under the tongue was better than taking their anti-depressant pharmaceuticals. This oil is very relaxing, calms the nervous system, and is beneficial for treating headaches, vertigo, and neuralgia.

Secondary Usages: Beneficial for the skin (scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, thread veins, mature, sensitive skin, broken capillaries, tones the complexion, stimulates new cell growth),and digestive tract (intestinal spasms, colitis, flatulence, colic, chronic diarrhea, nervous dyspepsia).

Has Been Reported: Used as a general health tonic to assist the heart (poor circulation, hypertension, rapid heart rate, palpitations),stimulate the liver, and stop spasms.
